MY PERSONAL JOURNEY AND WHERE ALL OF THIS COMES FROM

So I am personally going to tell you a little bit about my background and the story where all of this originates from.  It comes from way back, so...  read on.

Let's start by saying that KHONDA DANCE is really my life's work, my highest excitement, my passion, the physical manifestation of my heart and soul.  My destiny and the reason why I came here for.  This is my flower,  my gift back to humanity from the center of who I AM.   

Ok so, where to begin?  Let's start by saying that I was very fortunate to be born into a beautiful family.  My mom is just a bundle of unconditional love and my dad always pushed me to become the best I can be in whatever way I chose. He has always been an example of honesty, hard work and compassion.  He always gave me the best of the best and I was a happy kid, full of dreams…  of big dreams.

As a teenager I developed a strong hunger to understand the universe in which I lived,  but I didn’t believe in anything that could not be measured or proven through scientific method; my favorite subject was physics and I was obsessed with the unexplainable.  Death for me was like turning off a TV;  the image goes to the center into a dot of light that simply fades into nothingness. We were simply biological beings surviving in a biological world inside a Universe that was simply a mystery.   The word “spirituality” didn’t even exited in  my vocabulary. 

And it was one very special morning back in the summer of 1995, that I was camping with my girlfriend of the time, and as I was awakening from a full night of sleep, I had a profound revelatory experience that changed my life forever.

What I experienced that morning is simply beyond  description, but I had some time to try to put into words,  so here it goes:

It was a moment of crystalline clarity in which I was allowed to perceive that all paradoxes, all polarities, all dichotomies, appear to be blended and harmonized, and EVERYTHING seemed to proceed or emerge, from the same single source; the consciousness  that I AM.   

It was a moment of disclosure where I instantly understood the synchronicity of everything and how everything is the same ONE thing.  In an instant, my blindfold was removed and I was on the mountain top, where I was presented with the radiance of my whole being.  It was the sudden realization of the true beingness that I AM.

So this “eternal second” as I call it, the moment of my revelation, was pretty overwhelming to say the least.   In an instant my life was flipped upside down.  It was completely unexpected and I was overwhelmed by an experience that just blew my mind, heart and spirit wide open in just one blow.

In that "eternal second"  I only had time to think about 3 things and I had a vision:

The first thing that came to my mind was the image of a puppy;  I instantly understood the interconnectedness of all nature in our planet, the wonderful synchronicity and perfection of all the eco system that is abundant with diversity and vibrant life as a gift for all of us to experience; our home, our planet.  Mother Earth, It was just beautiful.  In one breath I had commune with her, its heart  and all of its creations.

Then in a swift, the image of a crazy serial killer came to mind, and instantly I understood the struggle and strife of the human heart, the powerful race that we truly are and the great ordeal and gift that is to be here in flesh,  experiencing the great challenge of being in this dense body, a mass full of limitations and forgetfulness, all for the exploration and expansion of growth, joy, harmony and love.

Then Jesus Christ came to my mind, or I better say, he flooded my heart and soul!  He came as a bright loving light that entered  though the bottom of my spine and started  to go up all the way to my crown,  and for the first time in my life I understood what spirit was all about.  I understood that he was not saying "follow me, I am the light" but instead he was saying; "This is who you are, be like me!".  I could feel his light shining bright inside of every cell of my body and I instantly recognize that this light is in the center of all human beings on this Earth. 

I was lit with possibilities and while I was experiencing the greatest bliss I have ever experienced in my life,  I had a clear vision where I saw the beautiful possibility of what Earth could be if human kind could see life through this lens. KHONDA DANCE is the product of this vision.  And that was the moment when my adventure began.  I jumped out my sleeping bag, waking up my girlfriend in a moment of exhilarating enthusiasm for what had just happened.  I simply could not control the tears of understanding, gratefulness, compassion and sense of purpose and belonging for my life.

Take into account that the word Spirituality didn't even existed in my vocabulary and in my struggle of the moment to figure out and put into conceptual understanding what had just happen,  one sentence came into mind, heart and soul.  A sentence that not only had the ability to encapsulate everything that had just happened to me but a sentence that will become the driving engine of my existence, and that is why is also the driving engine and perspective of KHONDA DANCE and everything that I have to offer today.

" Life Is a dream and I am going to wake up!"

Since then,  this sentence,  this perspective has been responsible for EVERYTHING in my life.  This was back in 1995, and I got to say, this experience turned my life upside down,  It was not an easy path.   For a long time I felt alienated, unable to correlate what I knew to people around me and find ways to make it applicable on a day to day basis.   I needed to understand what was happening to me.  So I became an avid reader, I devoured books.  I became obsessed with any kind of information or practice that I believed had something to do with what was happening to me. And it's been a looong road, and KHONDA DANCE is the product of it all.

Today I can clearly see that the moment I acknowledged to myself that “Life Is Dream”, I was automatically pulling myself out of the box of the conventional.  I was now destined to live a life from A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE, from THE SPIRIT PERSPECTIVE, where there is no separation.

Just do the math, because today that the planet is awakening to a higher reality, most probably you have already accepted things like "The law of Attraction", and the fact that you are the creator of your own reality.  Well, if you look at life from the perspective that "Life is your Dream",  you are then required, automatically, to not only understand that you are responsible for EVERYTHING that is happening in your reality;  since it's all you!  But to assimilate the concept that you are that ABSOLUTE CREATOR of it all!  And you will also have to digest the fact that everything is ONE and everything is connected, since It's your own dream after all!  And not just that, you are also left with the task of understanding concepts like,  "Life is just a reflection of who you are", and "The ONE is the ALL and the ALL are the ONE".   Also, the blame game is over!   You will have to learn to leave judgment behind, because it's now just a mirror and in doing so, you are just judging yourself.  You will also have to comprehend that you are not the only one, that we are all truly spirits having a human experience.  Sparks of consciousness travelling in knowledge born from experience, that you are indeed surrounded by sovereign beings that have the same liberty as you to live and experience their own dream as they see fit!  You will have to learn a lot about, treating "others" with the respect that you deserve, since they are "your dream" after all! And learn about acceptance, forgiveness, real compassion and love.  And a lot of more concepts that are all completely aligned with all the different new age/spiritual teachings now surfacing, as a gift for us all.

So what is truly happening when we are looking at life from the perspective that "life is a dream",  is that we are looking at life from the spirit perspective,  and this is what this AWAKENING is all about.  Because....

You are the dream, you are the dreamer, and you are in the middle of the most amazing adventure ever!  YOU!  And yours to BE!
